Abstract
|
Small numbers of students, highly specialised knowledge, different math Braille codes per country, rapid technological changes, a wide geographical spread. How do we face the challenge of enabling access to Mathematics, Sciences and Statistics for print impaired persons? At the ICCHP congress 2010, a group of researchers, students, developers and producers of assistive technology and supporting institutions initiated a Summer University. Hands-on workshops were organised where students could exchange existing problems and experiment accessible solutions. Our goal is to establish a yearly summer university on math, sciences and statistics in the future.
